We understand that our high quality astrophotography prints are an investment made by you. We want you to know that purchasing from Downs Observatory Shop is risk free for 90 days.
For any exchange, refund or damage claim we need you to contact support@downsobservatory.shop before you return the artwork.

For all 90 day GUARANTEE inquiries
SAVE your packaging. We meticulously package your product so it reaches you undamaged. If you need to return the original product for any reason reuse the original packaging where possible. If not we request you at least double box the original packaging and contents so they survive the return trip.
Damaged Delivery
Your products are shipped insured for the full value of your purchase. If your product arrives damaged you must contact us at support@downsobservatory.shop within 24 hours and send us photographs of the damaged packaging and product.
We will initiate the damage claim with the shipper. Please hold onto the packaging and damaged item. Do not dispose of any of the packaging or damaged product. When we need you to return the damaged product we will issue you a shipping label to return the damaged product. We may have to wait until the damage product is returned in order to provide a refund or exchange. Be assured we will be in contact with you at every step in this process.
Print is not big enough
You thought the print your ordered was big enough but it isn't filling the space like you thought it would. No problem. Pay the difference and send back the not big enough print and we will send you a larger print. Return shipping, including insurance, is your responsibility.
Print is too big
This can happen too where you thought it would fit but it isn't right. Send back the original larger print and we will send you a smaller print and refund the difference. Return shipping, including insurance, is your responsibility.
The mounting option I ordered does not work
We know that not every mounting option will work with every wall type. If in doubt, order products with no mounting options. More often than not, you can easily adhere custom mounting solutions to our artwork that fits your situation. You can often use removable wall adhesive strips to mount our metal prints directly to a flat smooth wall. In fact, we also use them to mount our acrylic 1/8" inch metal prints (at least up to 16x16) to a home interior wall.
Mounting to brick/stone or other non-standard, not-flat indoor wall surfaces may require you to hire a local professional wall hanger. We can't refund money to have someone hang the artwork for you. We also cannot provide recommendations for someone in your area.
If you need to exchange your print to either add mounting or remove mounting we can work with you to either refund or charge you the difference. Send back the original purchased item. Return shipping, including insurance, is your responsibility.
Colors in the print doesn't match where it needs to go
As we all know there is no one shade of white. Same with any other color. If you find that the artwork is not a color match you can return it for a full 100% refund. Send back the original purchased item. Return shipping, including insurance, is your responsibility.
I wish I purchased the Acrylic Metal Print instead of just Metal Print
We can swap out the Metal Print for an Acrylic Metal Print. You will pay the difference and return the original purchased item. We can also change sizes if you need bigger or smaller and refund or charge your account for the difference. Return shipping, including insurance, is your responsibility.
The print is not what I thought it would be and doesn't fit the above scenarios
We want you to be happy with your purchase. If our artwork doesn't match your environment like you had envisioned, we will be happy to refund 100% of your artwork's purchase price within 90 days. Send back the original purchased item and we will refund your purchase. Return shipping, including insurance, is your responsibility.
Conclusion
For whatever reason, the print is too big or too small, colors do not match, print medium needs upgrading or downgrading, trade up or down in size we will exchange our artwork product with you and refund or charge the difference. In the event the artwork does not fit your needs we will refund 100% of your purchase price for that item. We cannot refund shipping charges.Send back the original purchased item.

Hint on return shipping. You can often get discount shipping rates from online shipping services like Shippo, Pirate Ship, Ship Engine, among others. We do not endorse any of these 3rd party shipping companies. We are just providing their names for reference as a convenience to you. If you do need to return an item we recommend using one of these services to save on both shipping costs and insurance. Or you can deal directly with the shipper of your choice.
If you need us to provide a return label for you, we can send one to you via email but we will have to charge you whatever the shipper charges us. We may need measurements of the package including weight in order to provide a pre-paid label. You may have to take the package to the relevant shipper (e.g. USPS, UPS, FedEx, etc).
